The service opened with Deacon Wally Jeffries reading Psalm 24 and speaking a prayer. Dr. Johann Kim, Minister of Praise and Worship spoke to this Psalm passage, then led the gathered through a responsive reading and songs.

After a time of prayer and reflection, everyone stood up and delivered hugs of welcome to each other. Pastor Ben Dockery presented a few announcements that the congregation need to be made aware:

Pastor Ben wrapped up this time with a pastoral prayer, then Isaac Bates stepped to the microphone to read John 13:1-20, and Kim led “Meekness and Majesty.” The duet that two young members of Vine Street will play during the New Praise Festival was presented as today’s offertory. The choir, joined by VSBC SMARTKids, sang the theme song for the Festival, “Out of the Mouth of Children and Infants.”
