Vine Street Baptist Church is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. Vine Street Baptist Church is self-governing under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Churches elect messengers (not delegates) to various denominational meetings, including the annual convention.
The Kentucky Baptist Convention is a cooperative missions and ministry organization made up of nearly 2,400 autonomous Baptist churches in Kentucky. These churches have a total membership of more than 750,000 people.
The term “Kentucky Baptist Convention” refers to both the denomination and its annual meeting.
