Members and long time visitors to Vine Street Baptist Church were overjoyed by a special guest — former Worship Minister Dr. Johann Kim paid his church home a visit while he was in town.  Not only that, he delivered today’s message.

The service began when Deacon Wally Jeffries read Psalm 5:1-3 and said a prayer.  Current Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher led the gathered through a hand-clapping rendition of I’ll Fly Away, then encouraged everyone to spend a few minutes in fellowship.

Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders presented several announcements:

  • Today’s message from Psalm
  • Tonight’s message from 1 Samuel to be given by Justin Francis
  • Shape Note singing this afternoon
  • Women’s Bible Study will repeat lesson 1 again this Saturday at 4:00pm
  • Operation Christmas Child suggests start gathering hygiene items
  • Congratulations to our Boyce Bible School graduates

After a pastoral prayer, Justin Francis read Galations 5:13-18, then Jacob led everyone through more singing:

  • This I Believe
  • I Surrender All

Deacon Donnie Aebersold said a prayer, then Mickie Bainter sang during the offering.  A video was made and can be seen here:
