After a week full of activities around the building, members and regular attendees of Vine Street Baptist Church discovered the many changes and improvements started by Concord Student Ministry’s mission trip here.  The entire church continued to be thankful for the work that was accomplished at the building, but more importantly the contacts that were made throughout the neighborhood.

Today’s service began with Deacon Wally Jeffries reading Psalm 130:5-8 and saying a prayer. Worship Leader Jacob Hatcher asked everyone to stand and sing.

  • Peace Like a River
  • O How I Love Jesus

After a time of fellowship, where everyone greeted each other and welcoming new guests, Associate Pastor Brandon Saunders gave a few announcements and then said a pastoral prayer.

While the ushers were collecting the offering, Jacob talked about the next song and how it reminds him of a major event in his life, and read a scripture from 1 Corinthians that related.  The congregation stood and sang again.

  • Here With Me
  • Revelation Song

Pastor Spencer read today’s sermon scripture and delivered today’s message.

The message continues the Summer Stories sermon series. The full audio can be heard by clicking on the date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer.  Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.
