Members of Vine Street Baptist Church delighted in the Lord to see many members and guests in attendance today. Everyone was ready to listen to a teaching from the Bible.

The service opened with Deacon Betty Jeffries read Colossians 3:11-16 and said a prayer.  Worship Leaders, Jacob and Jaime Hatcher, asked the gathered to stand and led them in in song.

  • Because He Lives
  • 10,000 Reasons

After a time of greeting one another in fellowship, Associate Pastor of Youth & Family, Brandon Saunders, gave a few announcements, and then said a pastoral prayer.  Everyone stood and sang while the ushers collected the offering.

  • My Jesus, I Love Thee
  • There is a Redeemer

Senior Pastor Spencer Harmon came to the pulpit and read today’s sermon scripture, and then Jacob delivered today’s message.

The message continues the Summer Stories sermon series. The full audio can be heard by clicking on the date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer.  Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.

After the sermon, the congregation stood and sang Have Thine Own Way, Lord during a time of reflection. Jacob closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. He read a closing benediction passage, then dismissed the group.
