Members and guests of Vine Street Baptist gathered today to study God’s word and fellowship with one another.

Today’s Service Leader was Pastoral Assistant Justin Francis.  He started the service by reading Psalm 92:5-15 and saying a prayer.  Worship Pastor Jacob Hatcher led I Saw the Light and the congregation sang along enthusiastically.

After a few minutes where everyone greeted one another with a hand shake or a hug, Justin continued the service by delivering a few announcements, then saying a prayer for church concerns.

  • Souper Sunday tonight
  • Baby shower for two families during Souper Sunday
  • Women’s Bible Study on Tuesday of this week
  • Pal-O-Mine Club on Wednesday of this week.

The ushers collected the offering while the congregation sang more.

  • Death Was Arrested
  • Blessed Assurance
  • Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus

Justin returned to the platform to read the sermon scripture, then Senior Pastor Spencer Harmon delivered today’s message.

Today’s sermon continues the sermon series through 2nd Corinthians. The full audio can be heard by clicking on the date link below, or right-click and select “Save As” to save the file to your computer.  Click on the scripture reference to follow along with the reading.

After the sermon, the congregation stood and sang I Need the Every Hour during a time of reflection. Before ending the service, the Lord’s Supper was administered.

Spencer closed the service with an invitation for anyone to speak to a pastor after the service about church membership, becoming a Christian, or to discuss today’s sermon. Spencer read a benediction from John 15:4-5 then dismissed the group.
