SMARTkids, Youth, and members of Vine Street Baptist Church got together on November 9, 2016 to pack shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse and the Operation Christmas Child project.
One of the activities the SMARTkids look forward to each year, all Wednesday night programming turns towards packing shoeboxes the Wednesday before National Collection Week. The night is full of fun and festivities, hot dogs and helping everyone assemble items into the boxes.
Boxes collected through Operation Christmas Child are distributed to children in third world countries and will include the Gospel message in their own language. Children often look forward to these boxes, knowing that someone in another country cares so very much for them.
